Talcura is a hiring and applicant tracking platform operated by Talcura Technologies Inc., a Canadian corporation headquartered at 55 Albert St., Suite 100, Markham, Ontario L3P 2T5. References to "Talcura," "we," "us," or "our" in this Privacy Policy refer to Talcura Technologies Inc. and the Talcura platform.

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use the Talcura website (talcura.com), platform, or any related services. By using Talcura, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, work email address, job title, company name, phone number when you register or request a demo
• Billing information: credit card details, billing address (processed by our payment processor — we do not store raw card numbers)
• Platform data: job postings, candidate records, application materials, interview notes, and onboarding documents you create or upload within Talcura
• Communications: messages you send to our support team or via in-platform messaging

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, clickstreams, and session data
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers
• Cookies and similar technologies: as described in Section 6 below

Information from third parties

• Candidate information imported from integrated job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.) when you connect those services
• Single sign-on identity data if you log in through a third-party identity provider

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only for legitimate business purposes, including:

• Providing, operating, and improving the Talcura platform and its features
• Processing transactions and managing your account and subscription
• Sending service-related communications (account notices, security alerts, product updates)

We do not use your personal information to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

Service providers

We work with carefully selected third-party vendors who process data on our behalf — including cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure Canada), payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These vendors are contractually bound to process data only as instructed by us and in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Integrations you authorise

When you connect Talcura to third-party services (Indeed, LinkedIn, ADP, Workday, etc.), data is shared with those services according to your instructions and their own privacy policies.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Talcura Technologies, our users, or the public.

Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred as a business asset, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Canadian Residency

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits.

6. Cookies & Tracking

Talcura uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used. Types of cookies we use:

• Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand usage patterns and improve the product (e.g., anonymised session analytics).
• Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences between sessions.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Talcura service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

You may request a full export of your data at any time. Data export is provided in standard formats at no additional cost.

9. Children's Privacy

Talcura is a business-to-business platform not directed at or intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@talcura.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Talcura after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
